Mine started forming around 500 miles and I'm a lightweight... I think it happens regardless if you use the seat heater or not. I did notice that if you adjust the seats properly, the imprints seem to "flatten themselves out." During the first 500 miles I probably adjusted my seat about 5 times before I got it how I liked it.
Either way, it is still a design issue and Infiniti should be held responsible for it.

I got mine replaced twice already and on the third time they told me that Inifniti doesnt cover it anymore but they use to. It is now considered "normal wear and tear." I might have been because I went to a different dealer the third time but im going to try to go to another one and get it replaced again.
145 lb and NEVER have a wallet in my back pocket. all three times had two bubbles
I dont understand why they dont just start using better quality leather for the seat instead of having to replace so many of them . This is the first car that I have ever noticed leather seat bubbling like ours. Maybe I havent been paying enough attention to other leather seats

I noticed the bubbling starting when I had ~400 miles on the car, I'm 5'11 and 175. I never had a problem with the bubbling until 110K on my lexus GS.
The quality of the interior leather in these G's are definitely inferior to other luxury brands IMHO. I wont even be surprised if infiniti gave us pleather

Just throw this on your seat and you will not have this problem. It's a gel cushion so it is actually more comfortable than the sitting on the leather. This is why my seats still look brand new.
I know we shouldn't have to do this for a luxery car, but the seat bubbling issue is a reality and this is the only real solution that I am aware of.
