Aftermarket ambient lighting option

Just came across this while shopping for my Street Glow under carriage light bars and thought this would be perfect for those who wants ambient lighting but doesn't want to pay the arm and leg that dealers are asking.

My question is...

It states a "2 wire hookup"... car electronics isn't my strongest suit so where would one hook up these 2 wires if one was to install this on a G37?

I agree, but probably easier to tap in to a hot lead that is already in the cabin of the car, like the cig lighter. ??

To be honest it's not hard to do or have someone that is "OK" with electronics do. Find a trigger positive wire, like from the lighted trim ring around the cigarette lighter, and run that through a potentiometer. To "tap" into it just cut it and crimp a butt connector in there with the trigger wire inserted. Then from the "pot" to the lights. Then you can dial in the amount of light you want. Oh and don't forget to hook the negative side to ground.

That's what I did on my set up. But I also added a white light too, just in case I needed to see something down there.
