Protecting the leather from car seats

I have the Monaco Red leather seats and wanted to protect them as best I could (from food, stains, etc AND depression marks).

I was actually thinking about getting a spare seat bottom (doesnt have to be red) until the kids are out of car seats, but I need to use the stock seat at least for now until I can find one.

Any tips on protecting the rear seat with 2 car seats installed?

Thanks.

I used a towel underneath my kid's seat. It will still leave indentations once you remove the seat, but they should come right out with heat.

My dad uses folded up towels and places it right on where the car seats would touch the car's seat for my sister's daughter. Not the nicest look but works well.

Use towels. The thicker the better.

As mentioned, you can't go wrong with thick, cotton towels. Helps minimize depressions and stains.

diddo on the cotton towels. i also picked up clear vinyl bibs that strap to the back of the front seats. the back of the seats would be filthy with foot prints otherwise.

I use a condom...oh wait...

I have done some work on leather with carseats. Like others have said, use a thick towel. The indentations will still be there, but that will at least protect the leather better and reduce the long term indentations and damage to your seats.

I'd also recommend keeping the leather conditioned. Conditioner for the most part on our seats is irrelevant, but in this case every bit can help. If it keeps that leather even a bit more pliable then it's a win for your long term.
