New Grille 2010 Sedan

Hey guys I just got the Fine Mesh Grille by E&G CLASSICS for my 2010 Sedan. I haven't seen anything else about it here, so I thought I would share. It set me back $380 and looks great once installed, way better than the OEM plastic garbage. It seems to be very well made and it looks really clean if you install it right. But, that's where the trouble is... this thing was a nightmare to install. It comes with some directions which are essentially useless except for showing you how to take the stock grille off. The stock grille is actually very easy to take off, but putting the new one on is a different story. It requires some drilling, which wouldn't be a big deal except the templates that come with the directions don't actually line up with anything on the car. I had to eyeball where to drill and wound up having to make the holes a little big. This doesn't really cause any problems you just have to use some washers to take up the space. Once you get the holes drilled right the install gets even more difficult. The grille is lined up by moving nuts up and down on studs. Another nut goes on the back of the stud and pinches the bumper between the two nuts to hold the grille in place. It is necessary to do this on 7 different studs and let me tell you it is a pain to get right. The install took me several hours and I have a lot of experience with this kind of thing. It could be done much faster, but I doubt anyone could get it lined up and looking good in a reasonable amount of time. I would not recommend any beginners try this one. Overall, however, I would say it was worth it. It makes the car look wayyyy better IMO. Hope you all like it. There is a close up in my garage too.

If you like it, great. That is all that matters. It's a little to gaudy for me. I'm okay with my understated midnight grill.

What kind of wheels do you have? If you are going to V.I.P. that bad boy, I say NICE!! If not, then it's too much. The grille itself is really nice though.

Sorry bro but that thing is hideous. Chrome is nothing but tacky. Chrome sometimes and I mean sometimes looks good only if it's tastefully done. I mean if your going for the chrome ghetto look then stay with it

Stock grill looks 100x better. But if that's why you like then

I am still rolling on the stock sport wheels. Working on getting something new for summer. Haha Cadillac, Land Rover... whats the diff? LMAO. I admit, it is a very different look... definitely way to flashy for what a lot of people are going for. I don't find it tacky tho... I have never thought chrome is tacky tho lol (Except for chrome stickers, plastic spinners, fake vents and stuff like that). But, I love it and that's what counts. I couldn't stand the factory grille. It was the one thing that really bothered me about the car. I don't really know why I just didn't like it. I have always thought plastic grilles look silly on expensive cars. But that's just me.

haha like I said... its not for everyone. You will never see a dubb badge anywhere near this thing lol. I was thinking I would get some nice 19s or 20s with a chrome lip. I think that combo will look really good.

Another great thing about this grille is I don't think I will need to install the radar detector I am getting for Christmas... this thing should reflect the cops radar and lasers right back at them LOL

I think you're joking, but thats wrong. That would work even better because thats how laser works. It shoots a laser and the laser returns to the gun giving a speed. So the more reflective source a gun has the better. So you're SOL!!!!

Because thats a HUGE target you're giving them!

So you are thinking 19s or 20s with a chrome lip? Which wheels do you have in mind? You're going to need to slam it and V.I.P. Thailand style. Hella sunk and negative camber. Other than that the grille is out of place.
