any ideas for getting more light into the "trunk" space?

has anybody ever done anything about the lack of light in the "trunk" area? right now it's just one tiny little light that's only on one side. pretty weak.

would it work if i bought one of those rows of LED lights that people like to put on their bumpers and mount it in the trunk? if not, does anybody have any other ideas for getting more light in the trunk?

Interesting idea...I'm assuming that would work. Tap into that light and hook up some of those strips, ropes, whatever light of your choosing.

I have never felt like I didn't have enough light in the trunk. What exactly are you doing in there!

Change to a LED light and it makes a big difference - I did and the 6 LED light makes a big difference.

i used this from v-leds-194_4_RB_W_5k. it is a 194 bulb with around 100 lumens, unless you're doing surgery in there these are plenty bright-much better than oem bulb+a simple swap.you have to leave the plastic lens open as these are slightly longer and get kinda warm.i've got v-leds in my interior, doors, glove box, plate, trunk+an hid kit in my fogs for over a year and so far no problems.

You could always buy a car thats engineered correctly in the first place....though I'm not sure what that would be

I bought one of these works great. LED 5w Panel Dome Bulb High Power Ba9s t10 White - eBay (item 110618253365 end time Dec-29-10 1330 PST) Its a single super bright led, I just use double sided tape to tape it on the top.

or splice into the trunk and add an additional LED light strip

in my old G i built in 3 led strips. one on each side pointing into the wings, and one in the middle with leds pointing forward and backwards. i razor cut a slit into the liner and stuck them through. worked great, just tapped the trunk light wires.

or cut the divider and put a fiber glass window in front of trunk light if you intend to spend lot of time in there:>!?

I personally think that the glow in the dark handle is plenty of light for my trunk passengers.
