2008 G37s Coupe Front seats

Hi,

I have the bubble issue with the front seats as many others do, 30k miles on the odometer. It's not always visible and every time I have had it at the dealer, you couldn't really see it.

I also have what I would call "cracks" on the outter edge of both seats. They are light, but clearly visible. They were there when I bought the car at 18k miles. I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue and if the dealer would replace them because of it. I'm guessing they would say it's "normal" wear, but I don't agree that is normal for a car with 30k miles on it. Just wondering what you guys think.

Thanks,
David

Take it to the dealer and see what they say.

Also pictures said cracks would help us determine if the diminished appearance of the seats is indeed abnormal.

i just got my passenger seat replaced and my service advisor said bring it in 3000-4000 miles later and she'll take a look to see what she could do about the drivers seat.

i have about 32k miles on mine -- and what the main issue was not only was there excessive bubbling on both the bolster of the drivers seat and the seat bottom of the passenger seat, the thigh/lumbar support spring thing broke off and it would randomly open and close on its own while i drive lol.

Every single car with leather I have owned, creases on the sides. That's just how leather "breaks in". Just like a pair of leather boots crease on different spots as they break in. The bubbling otoh is something new to me. Really surprising that a luxury car comes with such crappy leather.

Bought my car new and it had creases in the thigh bolster from day 1. As long as it doesn't tear I am OK with it. For what it's worth, every G coupe/sedan I've seen has creases/bubbling etc.... Many people have had their seat covers replaced and the problem just returns. This is the way of Infiniti

You haven't owned a BMW apparently lol. I'm not sure about the old BMW's, but the nappa leather used in the new ones doesn't crease that easy, thus why we just reupholstered the entire interior of our partners 2010 Tahoe to all BMW nappa leather, had to use like 12 lamb hides to cover 6 seats, 4 doors, and center consoles... what a headache, but yea... that leather doesn't crease, it only starts to show wear after about 90K miles.
