Volt/oil pressure gauges?

My father has a 370z, and though i know they arent necessary, i feel more comfortable knowing everything thats going on in my engine. Does anyone know where a good place would be to get an oil pressure/volt gauges and how to install them?

Thanks!

best way to do it is get the Blitz R-VIT DS or HKS CAMP II monitoring system and buy the necessary sensors and hook it up to your factory screen. regardless of the year of your car there's a way to tap it into your factory screen.

let me know if you more help with the parts cuz it's not that simple to install as some people think.

It wouldnt be easier to hook up a volt and oilpressure gauge through the a pillar then messing with the LCD screen? It may seem a bit ricey, but i kinda like having a few extra real gauges

Sure! That is if you can find a pillar pod. There is none available for our car's atm.

Has anybody in here installed the volt, temp, and pressure gauges ??(except showcars)

I don't remember seeing it done yet.

Don't they have those universal pods that goes on top of the dash? Or those gauges that screws directly onto wherever you want to place them. (no need for a pod)

Those are the ones im talking about. What exactly is a "pillar rod". I cant just feel whatever wires i need down the A-pilar into the engine bay. The LCD is awesome btw. But i like real gauges . Which are also cheaper

Ya! basically exactly like that, i just dont know how exactly to do it. I mean im like 90% sure you can run a wire down through the a pillar into the engine bay, and take it form there. Im just not sure how to mount them on the a pillar. STRI gauges are about 100 for the stepping motor, and 60 for the non stepping motor, which i dont find to expensive since i really like the look

for the gauges you most likely will need to purchase the sending unit along with the gauges in order to work. for example: the oil temp sensor you'll have to either tap it onto the engine block or oil pan spacer. i chose the oil pan spacer route as i'm no pro to tap it on the block lol. the oil pressure is an easier one. you can buy a oil sender adapter and install that on the oem oil pressure sensor location.

if you're N/A i personally feel that you won't need all that gadgets. the cost will add up.

yeah im gonna go with oil pressure and volt, which i dont foresee being to hard, i just dont know how to thread the wire through into the engine bay, and where exactly to mount on the a pillar as i have no idea where our air bag is. If we can figure it out how to run a wire, and how to mount the gauges on the a pillar, ill do a DIY.

okay, im looking ive sent an email to THmotorsport about getting a STRI volt and pressure gauge, im sure they will reply tomorrow. So ill order them this week, ill probably go for the non stepper motor, 69 bucks a gauge isnt bad.

"you can buy a oil sender adapter and install that on the oem oil pressure sensor location. " Could you explain that a bit? Im a bit of a noob when it comes to car modding. How exactly would i do that?

you'll need to tap into the oem's oil pressure sensor to get a signal for your aftermarket gauge. before you buy your gauge you gotta make sure this is the correct adapter for you. here's the link!
GTM Motorsports**ENGINE EXTERNALS**OIL SENDER ADAPTER KIT
send me the link of the gauge you're about to buy. let me check it out for ya
