Spoiler question

I've got a 2009 platinum graphite G37x coupe with camera. I was going to add the OEM spoiler (I know that look is debatable). Dealer said the only option requires the trunk button in the spoiler. Either it or the regular trunk button in the tail light is disabled. That doesn't sound good, having a useless trunk button somewhere. I suggested replacing the tail light to get rid of the old button, but he can't do that either. Really my only options with OEM?

Right, but the only OEM spoiler option for camera, according to the dealer, has trunk button in spoiler. Seems strange...

Rocky, whoever you were talking to has no clue.

The button to open the trunk is on the driver's side tail light, spoiler or not.

Sounds like he was telling you about the spoiler off of the Sedan. Talk to someone else or order an oem one from EverythingG35 - G35 Parts, 350Z Parts, Factory Accessories and Performance Modifications or ebay.

Here's a link: http://www.g35parts.com/G37-Factory-...3060-jlxxx.htm

what roughx021 said. the sedan ones have the trunk button on the spoiler. for us coupes, the only trunk button is in the tail light. im thinking about getting the oem spoiler for my coupe too. but roughly $1000 installed and tax seems like a lot for a spoiler. my dealership is charging me $530 for spoiler and 3 hours of labor at $110/hour.

If you are handy, you can install it yourself. You need to be good with a drill, patient and can handle placing a template on the car. Getting the right tools is key. I did mine but I do consider myself fairly handy.

You guys are good!

Thanks so much. I figured he had to be whack.

I am not handy at all (can barely wipe myself) so would have to pay someone to get this done. Spoiler looks nice but sure it looks $1,000 nice.

When I order online, does "nav" (which I have) also mean "camera" (which i also have and is the issue)?

I wonder why it asks for "color" when it also asks for G37 color. clearly will match the G37...
