i had same issue before, i didnt do the IM mod, just changing to 8k HID and LED for clearance light, exactly same issue as you, the shop changed 3 set HID bulb for me but still the same problem.

but once i took out the LED clearance light, it never happen again ...
i'm pretty sure a lot people here change to LED clearance light, but i'm not sure if this only happen to 2010 model...

your parking lights and headlights are ran by a separate fuse and in no way affect one another.

got replacement bulbs. installed one on the defected right side. same issue! i just closed it up and called it a day.
any ideas what could be wrong? it can't be the bulb, tried two already.

just to recap, issue is that sometimes when i start my car or turn on my headlights, the right headlight doesnt turn on. iron man leds work for both always, but specifically the right hid headlight doesnt turn on SOMETIMES. if i turn them off and then back on it usually works.

If that's the case, your ballast might be bad. Do you know how to remove your headlights? You can try and swap your ballast around to see if that's the case.

A short will usually blow his fuse but that's not the case here. I'm seriously thinking that his ballast might be going out since he already tried another bulb and you can rule that out. His leds are connected to his parking lights and shouldn't have anything to do with the headlights. I would try and swap the ballast around to test it out rather than asking for help here.

I do have an extra ballast if you need it!

he can still wiggle some wire around and determine where its coming from.

go to bk & get it fixed.

Ok this is freaky. I just installed HID conversion kit for my fogs, replaced headlight bulbs with matching 6K all from DDM, and changed city lights to LED.

This was two days ago and I have the same issue but mine is the driver side headlight that sometimes doesn't come on. When it happened tonight I turned off the car and when I restarted it came on. I'm trying to monitor this to try and find the solution. I think I'll check if the bulb is properly in contact with the ignitor or maybe switch sides of the headlights.

I'm in Canada and here the fogs are used as daytime driving lights.

i hope its not my ballasts, car isnt more than 5 months old :/ was a new 2010 coupe off the lot.
@xberry, wow that sucks. i hope not many of you have this same issue.
i talked to igor at 180 customs and he said he'd take a look whenever i have time to get my butt down to brooklyn! its really bothering me as it'll turn on for a second and then will go off. was pouring the other day as i went to school and a friend who was driving ahead of me told me when we entered the building that one of my headlights were out. now i think its become a safety factor really and its because more pressing. /sigh

Well, that's just how it is when you decide to mod. Things can go from nice to ugly, don't mess with it then you won't have any problems.

I just installed the HPA 6000K and LED parking lights as well and have the same issue. Driver side doesn't always come on unless I flip on/off a few times.... at least we have a few people working the issue. I'll report back if I figure out a solution.
