Windows wont auto seal!! and only raise when closed PLEASE help???
Ok, so i got my windows tinted at a very reputable shop in Dallas yesterday, and today I noticed that they would not automatically seal when closed. so (even though it is not recommended) I tried lowering the windows... they wouldnt budge so I was playing around with them and finally got the drivers side to roll down but very slowly (while seated in the car -doors closed-),and then I got out and tried rolling it up and it didn't move. after getting back in and closing the door the window finally came up but the auto up wouldn't work.
they guy says he tints over 300 cars a month, many of which have been g37 coupes, and has never seen anything like this.
So in conclusion
- windows will roll down if the door is open or closed
- windows will only roll up if door is closed
- auto down works but auto up does not
- when opening the door, the window will lower to release seal but once re- closed will not raise to re-seal....
Any help will be appreciated, thaks guys
I bought the car with tint already on it, that was replaced with the new stuff, so I don't understand how the new tint could be the reason.

You have to do a window reset procedure. To be honest I don't exactly remember how to do it, something like holding the window button for 5 seconds, or similar. Might be in the manual.

Close the door roll the window down and then roll it back up pulling all the way up on the switch then continue holding the switch for 10 seconds after it reaches the top. Auto feature will work after one cycle (down then back up again) after you perform the reset procedure

It's funny the procedures people think are the correct ones for resetting the windows.
From straight out of the manual, roll them all the way down, then hold both buttons in the full up position. When the window reaches the top continue holding both buttons for 5 seconds. The windows are now reset.
