How to change HID bulbs without jacking the car up
Hey everyone, i have a g37s sedan and ive been trying to replace the HID bulbs but it seems to be too tight to slip ur hand around there. I was just wondering if i was to remove the front cover right above the grille, will it be easier to slip thru and change the bulb? Thanks

turn the wheel, pull back the fender liner, replace bulb.
Its super easy.
OR you can drop the front bumper and take the lights out. But its not necessary.
Whoever came up with jacking the car up to change HIDs is straight retarded. Ive NEVER done this once and ppl pay me to change their bulbs.

1. Pull the plastic liner back
2. Reach in and take the round cover off the back of the light
3. Take off ignitor from back of bulb, ~1/4 turn counter clockwise.
4. Squeeze clips together at bottom of bulb and swivel up.
5. Remove bulb.
6. Repeat backwards.
Ive installed a couple sets of Garax, they seem good, but i did notice 6, 8, and 10k all looked exactly the same.
I get my bulbs from DDMtuning.com

well if you wanna play it safe and remove the liner instead of pulling it back like me you can follow these steps. people may say its quite excessive but i just didnt wanna bend anything that shouldnt have been bended haha...
-jack up car
-set on jack stands
-remove wheel
-look around the lining there should be about 5~6 push clips that need to be popped off (use a flat head its easier) remember where these clips are, dont pop them off yet.
- underneath the liner should be about 4~5 8mm nuts holding the fender in... undo those first (word of warning: you might need to undo undershielding, that cover that prevents you to get to the oil plug, to get to one nut. you can remove that cover easily... theyre just more 8mm nuts i believe)
- after youve gotten those off the bottom of the liner should be loose. now pop those clips off and the liner should come right off.... if it doesnt that yank at it a little because theres a clip that hold it into place.
now that the liner is off you can access the hid cover directly.

note that the red cap (HID) requires HERCULEAN strength to twist off lol....
btw... i totally agree with wlmngtn... if youre a noob take off the wheels. its +knowledge points for changing wheels and you also get a feel for how the liners and everything is connnected down there.
