debadging

hey guys.im new to this forum but i had a quick question about after debadging your vehicle. I took the all the signs off of my trunk such as the g37 symbol, infiniti symbol, and the words infiniti. Got it done from my cousin and after taking the big infiniti symbol off, theres a slight paint damage and you can clearly see the after affects of the symbol...this is what happens when you let your cousin do it -.-.but i was wondering if there was any way i can actually put the infiniti symbol back onto my car?if so how?
Thanks guys.Sorry if i posted this in the wrong forum.

Damn how did he damage the paint? Did he scrape the emblem off or something? You can always install the emblem with 3m tape but I recommend buying a new one with the tape pre installed.. You can get it for like 30 bucks on eBay.

You can put it back on w/some adhesive from your local auto parts store.
The one i got was glue for trim pieces. It will cost u like $6.

just use goo gone to get any of the remaining pieces of glue and use a clear coat wax, just rub it a few times in and it will go away.. if u still see alittle of the ghost it will go away with a few rain storms and car washes.. and btw i think u should have left the infiniti symbol on.. just my opinion

I took off the INFINITI and G37, (left the "s" on) and left Mt Fuji

Waited for a hot day when then sun was cooking the rear of the car in direct sunlight

The pcs came off very easily but the residue was a pain to get off, use wax w cleaner and there wasn't a trace when done

When I had my S2000 I let someone else remove those letters on the side and they left little scratches doing so I'm on my own going forward.

I'd done a couple of Tiburons, equally easy - I think they key is the heat, letting the rear of the car cook in the sun for a bit

When I did mine there a bit of trace (shadow) but it was gone within a day or so.
