BlueBat rear valence overlay for '10 sedan installed
Finally got a chance to install Blue Batmobile's rear valence overlay on my 2010 sedan. Love the new look, much sportier. The G should've come like this from the factory. soundmike's DIY over on gshack.org was a big help with the install. Andy did a great job with the overlay. It fills the larger rear valence area of the '10 bumper very well.

Also it helped to trim parts of the overlay that went over some uneven parts of the bumper. There's a small depression behind the license plate and some plastic pop-rivets on the underside of the bumper. Trimming around those parts made it easier to smooth out the overlay.

Yeah, the overlay comes in two pieces, right and left. It makes installation so much easier. I definitely couldn't imagine trying to install it myself it was just one piece. The two pieces overlap in the middle and you can see the seam if you look closely. I guess you could trim the ends of two pieces if you wanted to minimize the overlap.

I dont like the way the overlay looks on the 2010 sedans......depending on the angle you look at it, it can easily be mistaken for just a black open empty space and makes the bumper look like its cut short........the exhausts hanging in mid air

Thanks on the install compliemnts! Not for everyone I guess. I'm really happy with the look, though. I'm looking to black out the rest of the chrome trim to compliment this.
Maybe it would've helped if the pics weren't against the blacktop driveway to give better contrast. Some detail on the rear valence is lost in the pics since its kinda washed out against the asphalt.

Bumping this old thread for an on-topic question.
Can this overlay be had in smoke rather than black? Something less severe than black, so the bumper valence doesn't just disappear.
Like the OP, I have a moonlight white G37S sedan, and I'm thinking the rear valence would look better if it were a shade darker than the surrounding paint, instead of just going black. I was considering having someone air-brush the valence area, but should probably consider an overlay before committing to paint.
