seat belt extender
has anyone ordered the seat belt arm extender? i'm curious to see if that actually solves the problem with the seat belt rubbing/digging/cutting at the neck!
i'm only 5'2, so i can't really raise the seat much higher or anything like that, because then i can't reach the clutch well haha. grr, i hope i don't get into a car accident bc that seat belt will definately cut my neck...
and the lap part doesn't even touch me... i'm not safe at all!
"SEAT BELT EXTENDERS
If, because of body size or driving position, it is
not possible to properly fit the lap-shoulder belt
and fasten it, an extender that is compatible
with the installed seat belts is available that
can be purchased."
body size.... as in smaller? or bigger?
i'm going to assume driving position being closer to the steering wheel, i'd need an extender? since i feel like if i moved my seat back more, maybe it wouldn't cut into my neck as much...
EDIT: actually, what IS an extender? haha and where would it go? any ideas? i just assumed it would have something to do with that seat belt arm behind the shoulder...

Seat belt extenders are for fat people, not short people. I'm 6'2" and it's still in an uncomfortable position on my neck for me too if that makes you feel any better. The attachment point and the way it adjusts up an down on the swivel is just a crappy setup. It manages to be the wrong height no matter how tall or short you are. It's just a poor design.

thanks
i've seen pictures of what seat belts can do to your body in a car accident...
i swear this position would cause it to slice my carotid artery and jugular vein...

I just bought this:
Amazon.com: Heininger 1027 CommuteMate Seat Belt Strap Adjuster: Automotive
For 6 bucks, it gets the job done. Its not perfect, but I only have it set about 2-3 inches from where the buckle is connected. I just need the seat belt to move to the left about an inch to get off my neck.
