not just that but why the heck would anyone want to do downgrade their output? we all know the stock 4300K is supreme to any temp out there and yes they look boring and blah blah but when it rains or if its foggy, good luck seeing anything with your blue HID's. That being said, I have the CBI's from Osram and absolutely hate them, why the hell did I get these, they look dull and so I'll be going back to my Philips 4300K when I take off my winter wheels. Always get Philips, as said you get what you pay for and their quality is supreme.

I have Osram CBI bulbs and they have amazing output. They are 5000-5500k with roughly the same lumens as OEM while having a whiter appearance. You can go with Nightbreakers that are 4300k and have the most lumens over any bulb that I know of.

Make sure to buy from a reputable dealer/seller for the CBI or any name brand D2S bulb. There are plenty of knockoffs on ebay and elsewhere. They are consistently $175-200. If the deal is too good to be true, it probably is.

Not sure if I got a bad batch or what but I feel mine aren't what I thought they be. I did purchase from TRS like I do with all my HID/LED needs.

I ordered from a site and they would only go on for a second and then cut off...When I contacted the company they said after 08 our cars don't work with aftermarket bulbs,how true is this? Sorry no trying to thread jack

I have heard that the OEM ballasts are picky. I think it's hit or miss with aftermarket bulbs. I know that the Morimoto XB bulbs will work as well as OSRAM and Philips, without issues. Those are probably your safest options for upgrading.

So from the looks of it I think OSRAM' nigh-breaker have come up quiet afew times on this discussion thread.
I've always wanted whiter beam are OSRam the way to go

The OSRAM Nightbreaker is the same color temp as stock 4300k. It will be brighter than stock but not whiter. OSRAM CBI has a color temp of 5k to 5500k, which will produce whiter light. Some people have issues with the higher kelvin range losing light when roads are wet, etc. Technically if you want the brightest most usable light you would stick to 4300k. Personally, I like the white appearance of the OSRAM CBI and in my experience the CBI is brighter than the stock bulb so it's awash to me. The Morimoto XB is very close to the CBI in lumen output. I got the Osram CBIs from TRS and they are brighter than stock with a 5000-5500k color. TRS told me the new Morimoto XBs are pretty close to CBIs. Not sure how they work with the picky OEM ballasts. Get on Facebook and look up TRS page, follow them and watch for a set of CBIs to pop up for a hell of a price! Latest ones I've seen are averaging $75-125 versus brand new at $180.

Anyone have any experience with the new Morimoto XB35? Was looking into getting the 5500K bulbs.

Kbcarstuff also seems to have CBIs for $170, but not sure if those are real.

Not sure if anybody has ran them yet but TRS wanted me to try them instead of the CBIs as they thought I wouldn't have any issues with igniting. Give them a call and see what they tell you.
