I am on it. Next Question! Pricing the G37 Sport with Options!

Suggested Certified Price - $30,415
Price a person would get for trading in their G37- $ 25,298
WHAT IS THE RIGHT PRICE TO PAY THE STEALERSHIP??

IMO, Edmunds.com has pretty good value estimates on used cars. And in case you're new to the G Sedan, you do know there's nothing "sport" about the G37xS except the seats, right?

I am 5' 9" about 255, but I am probably not shaped like you think--I wear a size 50 jacket and 38 pants--life long gym rat that has some daddy weight now. I adjusted the bolsters when I got the car and basically have forgotten about them. Seats are not a problem for me other than I need to shift a bit up top every once and a while, probably because my back is a little wider than the bolsters at my shoulders, but it is not really uncomfortable.

But...the seats in our RDX basically just disappear. They are the best seats I have ever had for a blend of comfort and just a bit of sportiness.

This is exactly why I didn't get the sport package.

I am 5'10'' 195 lbs 36 waist and I love these sport seats! It took me about 2 weeks to find the ideal setting but now I don't feel like getting out of them, very comfy!

Are the Sport seats different for different years, because I have an '09 G37XS and my leg side bolsters dig into the side of my thighs pretty bad...especially the left one. I'm only 5'8" and about 180lbs so it's not like I'm huge, so it's just interesting to me how some people find the seats great and some find them very uncomfortable...like me (the leg side bolsters anyway). That's why I was wondering about the different years and if they changed the Sport seats at all.

Side note: Most comfortable seats that I personally have had (and still do) is a 1988 Corvette. Great adjustable leg, side and back bolsters, tilting, lowering and raising. Not much room to put it back, but again, I'm only 5'8". Also gets up to 30 mpg on highway !! If only it had AWD.

It's deffintely a tighter fit. I just recently purchased my '10 G37xS. I'm 6'0" 190. The right side of the seat pushes into my thigh creating an uncomfortable ride for any longer then 20-30 minutes. I'm looking Into getting that stupid metal bar removed. Infiniti deffintely didn't consider an American frame to a Japanese frame..

I would recommend trying to live with them for awhile. Initially I thought the seats were uncomfortable but after a couple months I got use to them. Now, I love them, and can't imagine not having the same degree of support.

I love the sport seats but feel like they could be a bit more snug, but I am also 5'9" and 148lbs.

I'm exactly the same size and I have to say that the seats fit me like a glove. There is a hard bar near the back of the bottom that I sometimes feel at the base of my spine. I believe this is part of the seat heater ?

A little over a year ago, I was 60 pounds heavier, and I recall sitting in a sport model while my 04 was in the shop. The seats were not as comfortable for a 225 pounder as they forced my thighs to turn inward.

The saying is true...nothing taste as good as skinny feels....

I just bought a 2010 G37x S and I apparently didn't test drive it long enough as the seats are really bothering me. I'm 5'11" and 220 (used to be 300) but the real problem is my wide freaking hips. Gonna have to see if I can find a local shop to take the metal bars out.

Lets just say when I work in the clean rooms in japan, my bunny-suit is Godzilla sized. Its not so much how big you are as much as how wide your hips are. Asian men have very narrow hips; hence the pan of the G37S seat is fairly narrow. In the real world of performance seats, they offer different pan widths to accommodate different sized people.

I might be headed back to the dealer to look at one without sport seats. Its a 2011 instead of 2010 and has a little more miles. I just don't know if I can handle the seats and of the 4-5 places I've contacted about the mod nobody has returned my call/email.

ETA: Just got back with the 2011 non sport model. I'm now a happy member of the G37x family

I was having this same issue to man! I posted just before yours and then someone else replied. But after driving for month or two now it's gotten much better. Feels like the seat has "broken in" to a certain extent. I've come to really appreciate the tighter thigh support now.
