most people that don't have windy roads won't notice the lights.
those that do. actually enjoy the extra visibility. that 10% wider angle makes a big difference. .. now, how you use that extra two seconds of reaction time depends on the driver.
I don't think people were buying the tech package. I know in california, the dealers tended not to buy the "tech" package version. you had to really go out of your way to get one. when i bought my car I wanted everything, but the tech package was hard to find, and the 4WAS was even harder. (TECH package required)

I have the 2009 G37 convertible and 2010 G37x Sedan.
Both are europe versions.
Both of them have as a standard options the adaptive lights system, rain and speed sensing windshield wipers, scratch shield paint, Plasmacluster™ air purifier, ICC, etc...
But here is europe, a G37 is about 60K euro (74K usd)
