Nice, sounds good!

Does anyone know how to remove the shifter housing? The chrome ring around the leather boot needs to be taken off, and the only way is to pop off the shifter housing, turn the leather boot inside out, and remove what feels like a screw holding the stock chrome trim piece to the leather.

***Edit***

Ok, this is for the 5AT though... I may try (gently) to see if the shift housing/panel pulls out the same way.

I bought the M shift **** from Riverside and it looks great. I feel it is a great improvement over the OEM **** and looks like it came straight from the factory. The stitching even matches the sport seats and steering wheel if you have that option. I think it even shifts out of park easier with this ****. Sometimes with my old shifter it seemed more difficult than it should have to put in in drive.

What did you do with the trim piece on the G37's leather boot?

I did not have to do anything other than pull the boot down and remove the clip holding the shift **** in place.

The only other thing you have to do is to "saw" new grooves on the shaft for the new ****. The new **** is slightly shorter than the OEM **** and the original grooves will not work for the clip. I just marked where the new grooves needed to be and got a small hack saw blade and gently made new grooves. It took about 5 minutes after testing it a few times. After that, you just pull the boot back up and it fits perfect.

Here is a link to Riverside with pictures before and after.

Ah, gotcha... I think the Momo installation will be a little more complicated, since it already has a metal cap/trim piece on the bottom.

Im not sure I understand how the Momo one would work. Isn't that a push down button whereas the G has a button/trigger thing?

Me neither, but everyone swears it works...

I just don't see how the trim piece on the shifter boot would work... that's my issue. lol
