What type of tint did you use??

Carbon, Ceramic, Metallic??

I am getting mixed reviews from tinting places.. Some say carbon is the way to go because it isn't glossy, metallic sometimes looks mirror'ish...

Others say LLUMAR metallic is the best out there and in no way looks too shiny...

Help

I'm also looking into that Jarborn1. I looked around the website, and I thought 35% all around will look good. The best one that I think I found is Formula One Pinnacle Tint. I'm not the expert on this, I got this quote somewhere where I live to do all windows $140, but I dont know; what's the average price quality. when you get your windows done le me know, i also have PG, wanted to see how it looks tinted.

I see you have eibach's, how do you feel the ride quality changed from stock?

Tint: Quoted at $400 for Carbon done by this guy Lorenzo in the bx who used to do all funk flex's cars when he had his TV show.. So i imagine i would be paying for the name of the installer there...

Quoted $160 at a local place that tints for dealerships etc and they use LLUMAR metallic...

Hopefully more people chime in..

Eibachs are Great man.. There is almost no difference in stock ride quality if you are coming from and S (i am not sure about the non s suspension)

I would DEF recommed it, it is a nice subtle drop so your not scraping anywhere, doesn't take away ride quality and BEST of all... eliminates that god awful wheel gap..

Thanks for letting on the info. Where is the place that tints for dealerships? What tint percentage are you going for? I went to the formula one tint website, and the closest place that sells or installs that is in Delaware. I have the S model automatic. What is SPC mean? I like cars but dont know much about the specs/etc. I wanted to keep the original 19' wheels/tires. I look around and found that a 15mm or 20mm spacer all around will give you that clean look, what you recommend? How long did you wait to get aligment after your eibach? Marce'l.

I love the car, the only thing I wanted done for now is probably first the eibach/tint/spacers/ later maybe JP lip and Greddy Tic Exhaust.

Thanks man i already have two places lined up... As my original post says.. My question was type of tints..

What did you get? Carbon, Ceramic, Metallic or a hybrid?..

Price isn't really a factor i am just trying to get some opinion on the different types of tints..

Any difficulty seeing at night with the windshield done?

Nope.. That's why I went with 50%. I just had it done yesterday. You really can't tell it's done when looking at it (so a cop prolly wouldn't notice) but keeps a good sporty look when the sides are dark.

I've heard the metallic may interfere with the antenna, and radio/XM reception. Although, I'm not sure if it was ever confirmed. Maybe you can ask the tint shop about it .

$160 is a pretty good price. I have Johnson, the cheaper stuff, for $120. Came with life time warranty, done by a very reputable place, so I didn't really care about the tint brand.

^ That's correct. Metallic tint can interfere with antenna/nav, etc.
