Ivory GT Steering Wheel Review

As some of you know I bought Ivory GT G37 Steering wheel for my G and man oh man . This thing is beautiful!!! The quality of the wheel is top notch!! Paul has been great at answering all my questions. The only grip I had was on one of the the cutouts for the phone there was a goofed up part. Paul is taking care of it by switching it out with another piece. The install wasnt bad at all. There is somewhat of a DIY on the forum . I just followed that and off the S. Wheel came. So I switched everything over from my wheel and ran into a little issue. The back cover for the wheel will not fit anymore. The reason is the carbon resin is alot thicker than the oem wheel . So im rolling right now with no cover until I talk to paul and we figure it out. Despite that im still very happy. I will rate this wheel as follows.

Appearance - is a 10

Install - is a 3 Not hard at all

Customer Service - 10 He always answers the phone

Fitment - 7 The reason is the goober and the back cover not fitting other than that I would give it a 10

I highly suggest Ivory GT

So the bezel around the buttons is the part that doesn't quite fit with the OEM back? Also, since you have taken it off/apart, is the bezel a separate piece that can be taken off by itself? I have scratches and want to CF just that piece or find some way to refinish it to alleviate the scratches.

DUDE! WHERE's YOUR BACK BUTTON?

I USE THAT THING ALL THE TIME!

Is there any other way to go back using your steering wheel?

Where can I get one... It might be worth not having a back button...

Yes the the bezel is a separate piece that comes off by itself . The back cover wont fit due to it having to be sanded to accommodate the new wheel . The resin makes it bigger in places than oem.. The center dry carbon piece is beautiful despite the one goober spot that is being replaced

I wonder if there is a way I can do that in gloss black rather than carbon fiber. I like that.

If I send you my bezel, can you do it for me? I've seen your work and I like it. PM me a price and let's make it happen!

I took all those other interior pieces to my paint and body guy. I don't have the tools (paint booth, paint guns...) or supplies (high dollar paints and clears) to do the highest quality jobs. And only the highest quality will work for pieces like that (at least for me). I'll do other pieces though.

Thanks anyway. I'll have some parts soon that will need to go to the paint shop so I guess I'll just take it in too since my car is already BO. I'll post how it turns out whenever I get the other parts to take.

really great to see someone else go to paul for his work...

i can vouch for paul aka ivorygt/igt automotive... i have got his interior pieces paddle shifts, grill,

for my girlfriends car his steering wheel, headlights...nothing but great work...and the thing i loved about it...he called me randomly right before our big show just to see if things were okay....

nothing but good word for Paul...even when i was being a d!ck of a customer he handled the situations professionally.

The spare one is mine , but not for long. You have to send yours to him as a core.

Dang. I was really interested in the bezel too. Mine is all scuffed up due to the delicate OEM finish. I'll wait for the resolution.
