Casper the Friendly Badge Ghost
WTF! I debadged my G37 with Goo Gone, floss, and a towel. Everything came off perfectly, BUT it seems like the G37 will live on forever with the help of fog. It I look real close I can still see the outline and if there is steam or fog it displays like it never left. Check the pics to see the before and after fog (used my breath). Any idea? Does this happen to everyone?

With a real possibility that debadged cars have a lower resale value, you may want to leave the ghosts as they are so you can put the badges back in the right spot when you eventually sell the car.

Well, I admit it may be hard to prove. But look at it this way:
You’re a prospective used car buyer looking at two G37’s side by side, one debadged and the other not. The debadged car immediately conjures up an image of a car owned by a younger person who drove it hard and fast, not always giving it tender care in the process. This new buyer is not sure, but he decides to pass on it.
I’ve have read comments from used car sellers and processors who believe this scenario is true. The same logic holds true regarding some mods, and that’s why some sellers take them off before reselling the car.

As for Casper, I'm sure he'll go away with a few car washes and some sun exposure.
