Tight Sport Seats
#17
I have the sport seats and I love them for short drives. On long drives I HATE them. i do not have a big but, but the left seat bolster always digs into my thigh and cuts of circulation. i would TOTALY trade them for non sport seats if my car was not a lease.
Mine are 6 months old and let me tell you, they DO NOT break in or stretch or anything like that. There is nothing you can do other than remove the metal bolsters but again with a leased car that will probably not fly at lease end. I can live with it, but i do not think the seats should be so narrow in any car sold in the US. Strangely, the passenger seat feels wider and is very comfortable.

Uncomfortable sport seats
I have read that the sport seats are identical to the seats offered in Japan. Apparently, Infiniti feels that the American public has the same body dimensions as the average Japanese male, ie 140 lbs and 5'-4", or so I have read.
I am 6'-4-1/2 inches tall and 260 lbs. My *** is not fat. Why should I have to pay to rip my drivers seat out of a new $40,000 car and have it modified, just so I can drive the car comfortably for more than an hour?
Failure to get a satisfactory answer to this question is keeping me in my 2003 G35, which has very comfortable, but non-sport seats.

My problem with the seat is also with the angle of the cushion where butt support is next to zero. Soon I will have to take out the seat and mod it. With Infinity failure in transmission shift quality, seat, brake pad on sport package, I should have bought a BMW instead.

just got my g37xs yesterday....
I love the car so far, but am already hating the seat- my *** is killing me! I am far from fat. I am 5'10" 170 and am narrow to medium build with no ***. I'd love to hear from more Sport package owners to see if the situation really improves with time....
thanks

yeah non us cars aren't exactly designed for the US market... Honda comes pretty close tho.
but yeah american cars accomodate the wider american *** as compared to the rest of the world =P ain't that fun. ha ha
I love the seats to be honest, I think they're hella comfortable. (more so in the sedan than in the coupe)

I have had the car since the end of August 2009 and I have the sport seats. I am 6 foot 230, so def not a small guy. I just did a 12 hour roadtrip, I def think the seats are very comfortable. I think it just takes some time to break them in. It all depends how you like to sit in your seat, if I move my legs in a certain way, I get uncomfortable as well. Now that I got the postion down, the seats are very comfortable even on long drives.

i think the sport seats are perfect and I'm 6ft 190lbs. even when i was 210 6mths ago i didn't get bothered by the tightness but it was one of the reasons to lose weight and workout my ***. maybe do some squats to tighten your wide butt. Top Ten Butt Exercises
