Has anyone else ordered HIDs from V-leds.com?
I just received my order of V-HIDS XENON HEADLIGHT BULBS D2S 6000K WHITE W/BLUE and was a little disturbed when I opened up the package. The box containing the bulbs was properly labeled on the outside clearly saying "D2S_BULB_6K_B, but when I opened it up the actual bulb itself said "D2S 8000K" on the plastic protective shell which leads me to believe that it is infact an 8000k bulb.
In their description they call the bulbs 6000k w/ Blue tint. Do you think they are playing games and calling an 8000k bulb a "6000k bulb w/ blue tint"
Has anyone else heard of this?

I just sent them an email, so I want to see what they have to say about it. I also ordered my HID fogs from them, so I want to see what they look like when they arrive. They should get in tomorrow, so I'm gonna wait until then to pop one in.

i also have "V-HIDS XENON HEADLIGHT BULBS D2S 6000K WHITE W/BLUE" and when it came, there was no sticker...... but it is a D2S bulb and it has a blue'ish light. no problems so far, even though i dropped one.....

Technically yes, you are right. The higher the color temperature, the less lumens (distance ability/actual light power/whatever else you want to call it) put out, even though the higher K bulbs appear brighter. However, the difference in "lighting ability" of 6000K bulbs and the stock 4300K bulbs is not very much IMO

HOPEFULLY they are not...i really didnt want to remove the stock hid bulbs, but wanted to just match the city light and fog to led's but v-led's only has ONE style h1 led bulb and its 6k...i dont want hids in my fogs..

You can tell the color difference between the "pure white" of the 6000K and the blueish tint of the 8000K...

Let us know how it works out.

For headlights, I definitely agree that 6000K is the highest you should go. I've got 6000K HID's and then 8000K HID fogs, I like the combo but a lot of people like to keep their fogs stock
