Question Changing the projector lens?

TSX-R CLEAR PROJECTOR LENSES OEM XENON HID HEADLIGHTS:eBay Motors (item 290308298860 end time Dec-02-09 0650 PST)

Is this an easy mod to do. Has anyone done this and if so, how long does it take?

Several have done it. Have to know how to open and reseal headlights. Some DIY threads on easy way to take headlights out and others on how to bake to open the lights. Having done it, I agree not that easy. Easiest way would be to have it done by one of the two on the forum that mod lights.....get it done all at once with a reseal guarantee. Mess up your lights and you are looking at $700 to $1800 for a set used / new respectfully.

^^ I second Hamsters advice to look into one of the vendors on here to have it done, but it's probably one of the best mods I have done. The difference in added light output, clarity and cutoff is night and day.

Coming from owning an S2K, yes the light output is VERY different.

If you plan on doing any headlight mods, swapping the lens is very simple.

I am buying them. I have to send my headlights back to Igor soon so I might as well while they are open.

Is this as easy as swapping the lenses, or do you need to do the adjustments to the cutoff sheild as well?

Be very careful when you remove the bezel of the lens. It is tedious and not a quick step. I've cut my self a number of times doing it. And by cut my self, I mean sliced my finger open to the point where you're done for the night.
