From personal experience, a heat gun will soften and almost melt the adhesive making the letters very easy to pull right off. After the letters are off, I used the heat gun again to soften the glue that was left and wiped it all off with 70% isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber towel.

or you can use Goo Gone once you have the letters off.

Not the best pic, but you get the idea of what it looks without all the badges. Heat gun, floss, Goo Gone and a micro fiber towel did the trick.

Whatever you do, it may be wise to save the removed letters so you can put them back when you eventually sell the car so the next owner won’t think you drove it roughly.

I considered that, but the adhesive gets destroyed and I don't know how one would go about sticking them back on without the stock adhesive. You can buy the kit from the dealer with all the letters with the adhesive on them.
