Windows opened by itself

Went in to work today and armed my car with the windows up ... never have them down cause its too hot in Miami. About 4 hours later I went outside and found the both windows wound down 3/4 way. I recently had the drivers lock changed cause someone broke into my G and messed up the lock, but it has been working fine since I got it back a week ago. Any ideas????

Is there any chance you were pressing the unlock button on the key fob? Maybe if you were sitting on it, had a pile of papers on it or something like that? I know that can cause the windows to go down if you hold the unlock button

Try resetting:

Start your car. Push and hold the window buttons down...let them roll all the way down and keep them pressed down for 15 seconds. Now push the button to allow them to come up all the way and continue to hold the buttons up for another 15 seconds.

Read the manual for the reset instructions. I tried the procedure people posted on here but it didn't work. Once I tried the manual it worked great. What I read here did point me in the right direction though.

I'm not sure if I accidentally pressed the unlock button ... I know it opens the windows, but my office is pretty far from the car. I've never heard of resetting the power windows on a car ... what does this do?

This has happened to me twice since I have the car and I'm sure it's because the the buttons must have been getting pressed while the key was in my pocket. Only the front windows were partly open and the second time my trunk was also popped open. Since I have my key ring in my pocket with my intelligent key I would guess it just got in the wrong position and the buttons were pressed.

I think thats what happened with me too ... had a bunch of things in my pocket and probably clicked it accidentally. Is there a way to turn this feature off? Don't really wind the windows down cause its so hot in Miami, and if it happens again during the rainy season, I'll probably have a flooded G .

I thought the window auto-down feature on the ikey takes the windows all the way down ... not just 3/4?

They go down until you let go of the button.

Well, in one scenario that's true:

1.) You push the window down button all the way and they automatically go down all the way
2.) You push the window down button lighter and they go down until you let go
3.) You hold the unlock button on the intelligent key for 3 seconds and the windows go down all the way (both)

this happened to me the other day, i left my car at my girlfriends house for 2 days, and came back and saw the passenger window was down all the way. It was like that for 2 days straight, thank God she lives in a good neighborhood.
