You need to ask yourself, why are you doing this?

You'll lose all the nice toys equiped in the OEM sport seats..

Even for normal tracking, the sports seats are more than enough IMO

I did ask myself and i didnt i wouldnt be asking for anyones help haha.
but for the OEM seats, they are fine but i kinda want them to side aside because of the wrinkles appearing everywhere. also the heating system i dont really needum cmon i live in hawaii and i know for sure my A$$ dont get cold not even during nights. i just want aftermarket seats because i dont feel tight in my oem seat i tend to feel like im slipping and i have no grip when im putting the g in fun mode. well thats my opinion!

I've been thinking of getting racing seats too....Stand by when you ask about a race oriented mod question on this site tho...most people trip out. This site is starting to be more about "sexy" rims and exhaust pipes that sound cool.

I think Scott at Fontana Nissan in California has some ideas and contacts that may help you.

^ Oh I'm totally with the idea of aftermarket seats, just not in G IMO

1) You pay for sport seats from the dealer
2) The G is not a race or fast car, it's a luxury coupe that happens to be somewhat fast

But we sure are open to other opinions besides exhausts & sexy rims

I had some Recaro's in my car. I loved them. The brackets are (pretty sure) the same as the G35. Just look into Recaro's first. They are sexy and trackable. Not sure all Bride seats are.

The oem seats do weigh a ton. I broke my back lifting them. Also, be careful about your plugs when taking out the seats. You don't want to damage any electrical plugs.

Does anybody know how much our OEM seats weigh? Solo?? I just want to figure out how much weight we would be saving by getting racing seats.

what do you mean by trackable? if you mean FIA approved then no all recaros are not trackable so you are very wrong. only certain seats are FIA homologated. in both brides and recaros only the single piece seats have FIA homologation . not the multi piece seats. at the end of the day when your talking about brides over recaros there is no difference. they are both the top seats on the market. neither one is better then the next. typically most people with japanese cars prefer brides because they are jdm. Most recaros are made in germany so no jdm there. which there is a division of recaro for japan most seats dont make it here to the states. and the ones that do are priced far higher then the brides.

^I don't know exact, but it was crazy heavy. Vik might know how heavy the are since he had both of the fronts replaced with some nice Recaros.
