Steering wheel shifts down while driving

Hey guys, Well I have had my G for about a month now. I use the feature to have the steering wheel move up and seat move back when getting in and out of the car. Well lately I have noticed that afer I get in the car and start driving, if I put a little force on the top of the sterring wheel, it shifts a little down and feels like it clicks into place. (I am not putting a lot of force, I am just using one hand on top of the sterring wheel and putting a little pressure) Has anyone else had this issue? I mean once it locks into place it does not move again until I do the whole enterance/exit thing again.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

I use the exit feature as well and have not had this issue. Car is 4 months old. Try using the steering wheel adjustment and move it to it's up and down limits, then back to where you want it, then store the settings as you normally would. If the problem continues it needs to be looked at by the dealer.

I just tried what you said, and it still shifts downwards. There must be something wrong with it locking into position. I will probably getting it addressed when I take it to the dealer for an oil change as well as the transmission issue. Thanks

I've noticed this as well. Hasn't bothered me much since the shift is very sight and once it does shift, it is locked in.

weird that it happens to only some of us, and not others. It does not bother me a whole lot either, was just wondering if there was a way to get it fixed. I dont want after a year or two that it gets worse.

yeah mass produced cars always luck of the draw sometimes. some of us complain about in cabin noises. others don't some have issues with the tranny, others don't.

shoot my 2008 g35S was perfect. when I jumped to the g37S. i started noticing things more... it's almost there.. i think i might have a speaker that's going bad tho..

Mine does this too and it also does this when I'm turning coming out from park. Let us know what the dealership says about this.

I have the same issue. Once it locks into place, it is not a problem. I spent some time experimenting with the positions and it you select the second preset to be in a completely different spot ( I set the second one to be a lot further in and much higher), I was not able to replicate the issue. When I put it in the primary preset, the issue was back. It started happening about a week after I got the car and it was not there at first. also it was very slight at first and then it started to be more noticable. Almost like something was slowly getting loose. I only have 700 miles on the car and will mention it when I take it in for the first service.

For all the people that this happens to, do use the enterance/exit feature which moves your steering wheel? And for the people that it does not, do you use the raised steering wheel exit. I wonder if this has any correlation...

Yes, I have a G37S and mine does it too, ever since I bought the car - and yes, I use the entrance/exit seat feature...
