Teaser: Carbon Fiber Wrapped (by IvoryGT) Stillen Front Splitter

arrived today. Thought is was my GT Spec front tower strut bar until I saw Stillen on the box. Opened it up and WOW, It's freakin' beautiful. No comparison in quality between this Carbon Fiber piece and another company which I've recently had dealings with. I was gonna install it right now but no instructions were in the package. Called Stillen and they weren't pleasant to deal with on the phone. The guy was so concerned with getting my info and where it was purchased through and was kindof a *****. He finally told me they "should" be able to email instructions to me. I asked how long it "should take to receive... and he told me I "should" receive it by the end of the day. WTF? What kind of customer service is that? How long does it take to type in the email address that I just gave the guy with an attachment? Anyways, here's a teaser pic...

edit: I got the Stillen email w/ attached instructions.

8/26/2009 - New pics added. Sorry it took so long.

Just getting started, bumper off.

Shot of the removed bumper.

Shot of PFizzle's lights that he let me borrow while mine got sent to Igor.

Shot of bumper w/ CF Stillen Splitter installed, before test fit.

Close up shot of CF.

Close up shot of bumper/CF at a different angle.

Getting ready for test fit.

3M tape, nuts, bolts, washers, and lock washers... This suckers not coming off!

Another shot of all the added hardware.

Bumper on the car for test fit. (w/ Pfizzle's headlights)

Chewy, my little Poma-Poo (Pomeranian Poodle) helper, aka terror, lol.

Finished Product (w/ Pfizzle's headlights)

Very nice, can't wait to see it on. Someone around here was doing the same thing, wonder if that's the same piece I saw at a shop.

Where is IvoryGT from?

Looks great. Mount it up like I did and you won't have a problem unless you hit a curb ...

Thanks for all the compliements guys. I am very excited that it came in and to get it installed. I might actually take it to MotorWerks to have it installed to make sure it gets done right. IvoryFT also wrapped a OEM Grill in CF which should arrive next Wednesday.

Hamster, how did you mount yours exactly?
edit: just saw your link...

Ouch, thats more than one person with a splitter flown off. I assume the downforce it actually generates exceeds the bonding of the tape+screws... Id definitely get that thing on tight for sure.

And IGT Automotive is from Rochester NY. Im sure the shop you might have seen is definitely not it. This is a custom order piece vacuumed and autoclaved. Not your average hand laid part.
