i searched on the forum but i couldn't find anything on how to remove the shift ****.

i tried turning it but it wouldn't move. is there a certain way to remove the shift ****?

 

They have a good amount of lock tite on them. Most people wrap it with a rag and use some vice grips to get it off.

It take a very large amount of force to break it free. You have a very large possibility (80%) that you will destroy the stock ****.

 

When you turn the ****, make sure you hold the shaft of the shift lever.. otherwise you may break the shift link at the bottom. Its a pain in the butt.. Use a vice grip to hold the shaft, and another to hold the ****.
