Yeah I've seen quite a few wheels with quite badly chipped face. This one used to be quite chipped before we gave it a new life.

Replacing the part is quite easy once you have the steering wheel off. Few screws in the back of the faceplate.

Doing the steering wheel is in this thread. Need Torx T-30, but it has to the tamper proof version. Pretty easy.

^ Chances are unless you do it, you won't see anyone getting the silver CF steering.

Got the whole inside in CF already and thought it was enough....at least for me it was enough.

Why not? I'd love to replace all my interior pieces with the silver CF and get the steering wheel to match just to be different. Everyone else has the black CF. Now if you had white CF, that would be a different story!
