Question about seat bubbles / warranty
Hi,
I clearly have a bubble in my seat (will post pics soon) and I took it to the dealer. When I showed the service guy , he said "warranty does cover a new seat but I'm not going to replace it because this problem happens to smaller stature people and it will probably come back if I replace the seat." Im 5'10 150 lbs, and I felt insulted when the Dbag said that.... Should I just bring it to a different dealer and see what they say ? If I want a new seat and clearly have a bubble is he required to give me one ? thanks

I think many dealers will avoid replacing the seat as a normal wear and tear. Not saying I agree, but I think many people are having a hard time getting them replaced irrespective of their "stature"

I dropped my car off at the dealer today and told him about the seat. Problem was I dropped it off after not driving it for a day so the bubble was not very prominent. I showed the service guy anyway and he just gave the me the look. He said he would look into it though which translates into, "I'm going to acknowledge your issue but not going to fix it"

Its going to come back. I've had mine replaced and its right back, just like it was before. I'm not too happy about it. There's a whole thread about it here-----> https://www.myg37.com/forums/body-in...at-issues.html

Talk to the service manager about how you feel insulted by the service guy. There should be no reason to attribute to the well-known issue to physicality. What, do they think the Infiniti designers were all 7ft tall Japanese giants??
This problem gets fixed with no problem, no questions asked in So Cal. There should be no reason why they can't do the same. Just not willing to.
I don't think dealerships are obligated to replace the entire seat. They may just replace the trim, which was what they did for me. It looked brand new, as if I got a new seat.

would someone kindly post a picture of the offending "bubble"? my seat is looking a bit worn for only 6K miles on the clock but I'm not sure I'd call it a bubble. thanks in advance.

Mine looks pretty bad. It looks like the leather got stretched. I took my car to Beshoff Infiniti last Saturday (for maintenance) and he took some pictures of the seat. He said he'll have to email the pics to Corporate and see if they'll replace it under warranty. He called me this afternoon to inform me that they will replace the seat under warranty. Woohoo!
