yes thats what im talking about. it comes in two versions the plan paper filter and the carbon charged filter. the carbon is more but is suppose to suppress smell a lot more and clear your air better. not sure if anyone has used each and can tell the difference. im at 20k and need to change it. no funk or anything but its time

Im almost at 15k miles and the service for 15k includes an oil change, changing the in cabin micronfiler, and engine air filer and they want over 300.00 for it. I figured Id buy the filers and just have a tech throw them in for me on a side job and just get an oil change and save 200.00.

From the posts here on the subject, the cost of the cabin filter change alone is about $150 with the bulk of that being labor because they need to remove the panel behind the glovebox to access the filter. If you ask your dealer's parts dept. for a quote on the filter I'm sure it's not the majority of the cost. You can change it yourself - it's not too difficult but you need to remove the panel.

I have a guy I deal with , who installs all my parts, I pay him cash on the side, Im sure he could do it for me , for like 20.00-30.00. So besides, both filers, wipers blades and an oil change, is that about everything in the 15,000 service?
