Yes... it's just cushions on sheet metal. Fuel tank is right under the cushions for your butt... without the cushions in place, you'll hear fuel sloshing around

You can also see where the top of the shocks are in the rear; we drill through the metal there for adjustable coils.

If you are really considering removing your sun roof the cheapest and easiest way to do that would probably be, get a carbon roof cap and then buy a head liner with no sun roof cut out. the space between the roof cap and the head liner can be filled with some kind of insulator.

I'd say the cheapest way is to get a well built carbon fiber replacement. Remove the motor. And mod it to be moved back and forward by hand. A head liner would cost over $1000 alone.
