Old thread bump!

Any way to remove these faux intake vents or are they integral to the fascia? If they are permanent...has anyone cut them out and made it look clean?

Makes me want to rip the paint protection off my front end...just doesn't glow like polished paint

how do you go about painting the grills? do they come off or you just mask the area around it and then spray paint the grill?

same here, I just shot a clear over them, they stay glossy all the time!

I was actually kicking around the idea of painting grilles body color, vibrant red, but I think it will be too much. I'm in the process of doing stock wheels a charcoal metallic, and may match the bmpr grilles to those depending on how I like it. Will post pics of process.

The faux vents remove really easily for painting. I painted mine a long time ago, when this thread was first posted. I have some photos of them around somewhere, I'll try to locate them and post up later.

^^cool, did you take off your faux vents and installed this? Or did you put it on top of the faux vents?

It's over the existing faux vents, center lower grill - did not take them off. I key was making a perfect fit... you could also paint them..if uou like.
I made a few for a member here who had them powder coated black. Look gr8 either way ..
Made a set for G35 coupe also:

Made it my self...it keeps the engine area clean too... from leafs etc..
