personally, I didn't bother to remove the chrome, I used a grey primer with 2 coats, 3 coats of the paint I chose, which was a high temp paint I've used on calipers before, then 3 coats of clearcoat.
almost 3 months since I painted, no chips, no peeling, and I drive to work past plenty of constrution sites too, the way I see it if it was going to peel it would have done so already

Yeah do you guys think that if you do it like he did it (Over the chrome) you would have peeling/chipping? I feel like 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of clearcoat over 3 coats of paint is pretty chip proof. The reason I would paint instead of just buying this is cuz I would like a matte finish better. And I really do not feel like removing the chrome, if its not necessary I'm not gonna...

They don't sell the skyline in australia which is a damn shame, I guess the closest thing would be the maxima
although we do get the 370z so it's not all bad.
My car is a Japanese spec grey import, and one of only a handful in australia atm, needless to say I get lots wtf is that?! glances from the general motoring public
