hey guys,

as you know our fog lights are yellowish looking and i was wondering if i could buy a bulb (not hid kit) to change the the color from yellow to white (6K) with out putting hid's.

difficult without hid kit, i tried some expensive $90 piaa H1 super white 6500k and $100 spark blue 8000k and i believe due to the painted reflector the colour will turn purple/yellow instead of the white/blue effect we all want..

I made a thread if you do a search on PIAA you can see the awesome purpleness of bulbs...

 

I had some cheapo bulbs i got off ebay that matched the stock HID's pretty well but they were not very bright from the blue painting of the bulb. And one eventually went out. Now i've got some 3000K bulbs from autolumination.com that are much brighter and provide a great contrast between my 5000k headlights. And the 3000k perform MUCH better in the fog/rain compared to oem or and higher color temps.

 

if i didnt alrdy spend so much on the piaa h1s.. i wouldve gone 3000k for yellow look..
