So here is the deal. After a few weeks (I've been really busy with work), more problems arise. I put the stock bulbs back in and the lights seemed to be fine. Didn't flicker a single time, went to the dealer but they told me they couldn't do anything because the problem couldn't be replicated. OK. Fair enough.
So i decided to do a little test and switch the 6000K bulbs that I originally had in there. I took the left one and put it on the right side and vice versa. So while diriving, it seemed like the left one started to flicker so I thought I knew it was the bulb. I ordered new bulbs and a few other goodies but haven't had a chance to put them in yet. Gonna start it up today. But last night, I pulled my car in my garage and the right headlight was out again!
My friend was over so he was turning the lights on and off a few times as I was checking them out. It seems like the bulb goes on for half a second and just shuts off. Now it won't even turn on.

Ballast? Bulb? Headlight?

What's going on??? Any ideas? I was just about to bake the lights to put my new lenses in too. I'm thinking I might hold back a few days and maybe take it down to the dealer. But the light didn't flicker a single time with the stock bulbs in. I have no idea what is going on. Any ideas....please chime in.

Yea definitely hold off on baking the lights until this gets resolved.

Do a simple test to isolate the problem when you get your bulb. To make sure it is or it is not the faulty bulb.

I know this thread is old but does anyone know the fix to this? I'm having the same exact symptoms. I took the bulb out and back in reassuring the connections are fine but it still happened? Besides switching bulbs, I was planning on putting on some dielectric grease to promote a better connection. I had recently changed bulbs.

So I'm not the only one with the problem....I replaced driver side headlight with 6000K HID about 3 months ago....It goes off while I'm driving...so I have to it OFF and ON again!
