Stillen Grille

Just finished installing the Stillen Grille. Overall the fitments is good however there was one major issue I find very disappointing for a $254 grille and that's the mount for the emblem. Unlike the stock grill mount which has two holes in a thin hard plastic back plate the emblem clips snuggly into, the stillen grille emblem mount has a thick piece of softer plastic which is too wide and rather wedges the emblem in on a ridge on the edge of the plastic which is not as secure for my tastes. You need to do some work on it to produce a good fit. Another modification required is the removal of the center arm on the emblem itself since that's where the bar is and not a gap any more. A dremel makes short work of what otherwise would have been a painfully hard mod to do without possibly screwing up the emblem since you need to remove the arm all wth way to the fugi practically.

Overall though I like the look, especially with black chrome emblems which serve to not emphasis the bar as much and produce a semi-emblemless look. The semi-gloss grille coordinates well with matte black lipped rims which was my hope. I actually ended up liking the look quite a bit more then I first thought I would.

Here's a pretty unflattering glaring light shot, I'll try to get a quarter front shot this weekend in daylight.

Nice ! Can you take up close pics of the corners ??

Pretty tight on the top, a 2-3mm gap on the bottom.

If you want to keep the emblems I think the Stillen's the way to go, if not then the Ionic would be the better choice.

I think just mesh in replace of the grill would look awesome, minus the single bar..is that the ionic you guys are talking about?

Overall looks alot better than I thought, maybe just on your car? I usually don't like it at all

Emblemless was fun to try, I tried it while waiting for the black chrome emblems to get in. It gives a clean look but it also seemed to devalue the car with a almost kit car look. A pretty big perception change for such a little cosmetic change. What's cool is you can go in the middle and keep the emblem only de-emphasize it which ended up being my final choice.

Finally a pic of it on a red car, if I didn't know of a even better grille (not Ionic) coming out in a coulple months I'd be all over this.
