Cool another stillen grille owner That black chrome emblem is a nice touch to an overall very clean set up and I'm not even a fan of red Want to go black chrome myself but it would require a few more mods to make it look right on my IP the modding never ends... I'm done for this year, I think...

Unlike the stock grill mount which has two holes in a thin hard plastic back plate the emblem clips snuggly into, the stillen grille emblem mount has a thick piece of softer plastic which is too wide and rather wedges the emblem in on a ridge on the edge of the plastic which is not as secure for my tastes. You need to do some work on it to produce a good fit. Another modification required is the removal of the center arm on the emblem itself since that's where the bar is and not a gap any more. A dremel makes short work of what otherwise would have been a painfully hard mod to do without possibly screwing up the emblem since you need to remove the arm all wth way to the fugi practically.

Overall though I like the look, especially with black chrome emblems which serve to not emphasis the bar as much and produce a semi-emblemless look. The semi-gloss grille coordinates well with matte black lipped rims which was my hope. I actually ended up liking the look quite a bit more then I first thought I would.

Ur ride looks sick RedG37. Nice to see another VR repping, and repping hott. VR usually doesn't get much love.

Dude, when I first saw that grill I HATED it! But as a fellow VR owner, I totally dig it, nice work. With your parking pass in the windshield you have all the colors of my beloved Ferrari

I love it...gorgeous looking grill, and considering the crappy quality of the stock grill (gets chipped easily) this may be a pretty good fix for the problem. How's the quality of this material? Does it chip easily or is it flexible? Where did you order it from? I'm thinking I'm gonna do it, since it will also match the finish on the wheels I ordered

I know exactly what you mean, I was so desperate for a sporty grille I tried several ideas to make this work but couldn't find one so I waited and waited and waited until I couldn't wait any longer. Even this grille was better then the alternative in my eyes. Then it came to me to de-emphasize the emblem and with that the bar and from there the idea to try black chrome and I was plesantly surprised. I like this better then an emblem sitting on mesh since it keeps the shape of the front from the side and doesn't give an open mouth gap like the Zele would.

I need to get some real dark tint on the front 4" to hide that parking pass a bit... oh hell didn't I say I was done...lol

This grille is much more resilient and very flexible it's solid black so no paint chipping although I imagine it could get scuffed by a rock. I expect it will hold up better then anything else on the front. Ordered direct from Stillen, didn't see a better price anywhere.

I like it. Looks sexy, but not ricey, compared with other aftermarket grilles. It blends with the motif of your car.

Red.... first off I think the Stillen grill looks great on VR. You may have posted this in another thread somewhere but what am I looking at (circled in white)..... looks too big to be your city light considering they are installed from the rear and the hole is very small (that sounded kinda pornographic).....
