What are the yellow dots on the nav screen?

I have these little yellow dots on streets on my nav screen. I don't have any location things on (like atm's gas, etc) and there are lots of them all on side streets. Any idea what these small dots are?

I'm trying to upload a pic now.

I was wondering what those dots are too. I usually see it on highways, history makes some sense.

How do you mean random? Are they not in lines along roads that you have traveled in your car since you got it?

It's been dropping these "breadcrumbs" since you got the car or since you set it like that. They may look like a mess because they are everywhere you've been driving and overlap quite a bit maybe?

But the breadcrumb trail would still be uniform over the traveled roads. Are these dots really little yellow stars? If so, then you (or the dealer during a demo) may have entered a Point Of Interest, such as a Starbucks, and I believe it shows the locations with those stars.

They are not yellow stars, but yellow dots (just a circle, nothing fancy). They are DEFINITELY not points of interests, there would be like 8 on a small stretch of suburb road shown on my screen and there is nothing interesting about the mailbox.

I'm starting to think that your car is smarter than you.

^ The biggest contribution to the thread yet, heh.

I suppose route history would be the best explanation for the yellow dots

its your cars route/travel history, sometime is can be random if you travel one route more than another, or 2 routes intersect that you travel. happens to me all the time as i tend to take 2 diff routs to and frm work
