custom fogs in the S

for those of you with the g37s who have built custom foglights in the fake vents. what kind of foglights did you buy. did you use projectors? i am about to get a quote from my local custom shop but i would rather do it myself.

also, about the wiring. how did you do it and where did you put the switch. i want to be able to run the fogs independatly from the headlights, which should not be a problem since we do not have fogs in the vents.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, i did search, but i could only find people who have built them and showed pics. none of wiring instructions or details about the switch or any of that fun stuff!!

fog lights in place of what is clearly an intended air-dam for brake vents looks pretty silly imo.

If these mods are not performance-inspired then it just looks fake and brings down the image of the car and it's community.

Hello noobie, If you havn't noticed yet... the airdams/vents on our G's are fake and are made of plastic. They are none functional. Hence the reason for putting HID's in there.

LOL he must not notice there is no holes in the mesh and also the wheel well blocks any air to even go to the brakes

Relax Relax....that's why I said 'an intended' air dam.

I'm only presenting an opinion not calling out names.

Now to put "HIDs" on a clearly non-functional air-dam looks even more misplaced...and this is my opinion and you may think differently and that's okay.

99.9% of the forum agree that HID's should have been in the faux vents in the first place and they also agree that they would looks amazingly good. You have bad taste... this is my opinion and you may think differently and that's okay.

My "bad taste" is only relevant to your realm of asthetics.

100% of the folks here would agree that these fake vents should have been 'real' in the first place. It's what the shape and location was intended for.

Now if anyone is going to produce an HID kit, then it should be with a custom mount that does not look like a desperate fog-lamp ontop of a fake brake vent. If it's done properly then it would be very sweet indeed.

It is just going to be a flat fiberglass replacement painted flat black.
I bought the M3 fogs used with the yellow film, unsure about leaving it on or not.
