Are you 100% sure the 2011's have the folding mirrors? If so I'll go down to my dealer and order them now.

Interesting. I'm wondering if I could order just the motor/shell and not the mirror itself. I can assume that I could just swap my USDM mirrors into the JDM side housings and all is well. Now you got me thinking.

The stock mirrors fold when you press the switch. It does not fold/unfold with ignition.

The mirrors are about 300 each, do you want the part numbers?

I'm betting I could add some type of pulse relay to trick the side mirrors into thinking I'm pressing the button when in fact all I'm doing is hitting lock/unlock on my phones smart start application. I didn't solder the connections when I installed the smart start module from viper for this very reason so I doubt it would be too hard to tap the unlock/lock wire and run it to the side mirrors... My wheels in my head are turning trying to figure out my wiring skematics. It's been 2 years since I installed the viper smart start.

I would simply relay them with the ignition wire. Mirror open with ignition on and close with ignition off.

Forget the relays. I found a module that does what you want for cheaper than the price of one relay:

I'm seriously contemplating this mod too, but 600 for two mirrors is kinda pricey.

I think I'll skip over that and go with your idea of tapping the ignition wire. This way when I auto start my G w/ my phone's application it will pre-fold when I turn car off and unfold the mirrors when I autostart the vehicle. You the man ModMe

Fawk me sideways you are the man. Thank you for the part numbers... FYI I live in West Palm Beach (currently in Argentina though on business) and I frequent Miami. My buddy owns a junk yard down there so when I get back in the states I'm gonna call him to see if by chance he has any 2010+ verts in his lot. If he does have more then one and the mirrors are in sound condition want me to PM you? He typically gives me hook up pricing too so I doubt it would be much. I'll attach a 9v battery to the power and ground wires of the mirrors to make sure they're in working order before I PM you of course. I can even take video of em if I can find any prior to PM-ing you.
You can see alot of my vids that show many of my toys on youtube under my screen name j.ward2CC
Including my hide-a-way rear license plate cover that I am currently working on tapping into ignition wire so that it closes and opens with ignition.
If I can automate the mirrors like I will automate the license plate all the better! Thanks ModMe

I believe Modme picked up a used set off ebay, and then sold his coupe mirrors on ebay and the difference wasn't too bad. He has a DIY on it in the DIY section. Check there.
