^+1. After I installed my Arc Reactors, neither side lines up perfectly. I'm just way too lazy to worry about it because I'm the only person who will ever notice it.

It would drive me completely bonkers if it did not line up as good afterwards.

hm.. but it's happening on both sides of the bend, the top and bottom as circled my pic, the metal bracket explains one side but what about the other

Take a picture with your hood open facing towards the clip.

The clip for the bumper (on the top where it isn't aligning) When you put it back there is a little slot ( the white plastic part that is connected to the part that isn't fitting like it used to ) toward the outside of the vehicle, you need to put the clip inside the slot before you place it in position to tighten the bolt. I know it's a crappy explanation, but if you use a flashlight and look where the clip goes you will see what I mean.

Let me know if that helps. I'll try to get a detailed pic tonight.

Hey,

So I went to take it in today to the dealer and the service lady said, Whoever removed your bumper and put it back on weren't carefull so they broke almost all the tabs. The gave me a quote of $110 for the parts and $185 CAD for labour to get the bumper properly aligned. Can anyone tell me if there are tabs that would cause this? Or are the bsing me..

you should take a better look on the inside. there's only a 10mm holding that part. the metal bracket should slid into the white plastic bracket on the inside.

Hm.. I think the top part is fine, how about the bottom part where the bumper meets the fender near the headlight? I saw the tutorial of how to remove the bumper and it states there is a clip near the headlight. Could my clip be busted or not slotted in with the bumper to cause that area I highlighted not to sit flush?

I'm a little confused what they mean by "clip near the headlight doesn't let go carefully use a flat screw driver to pop the bumper out"? Any chance the installer broke the click or didnt put it back in the clip during reinstallation?

So the dealer looked at the uneven alignment and said they will need to order another bracket as the installer who removed the bumper probably wasn't careful and broke it... They didnt remove the bumper to verify as they want the parts and labour paid before they do any work on it.

1.5 hour labour $183.75 and parts $130, for 2 of these. Approx $300 to fix it...

2008 Infiniti G37 Front Bumper Bracket, Passenger Side (Sales Price: $21.95)

6222-jl00a Bracket $12
6223-jl00a Bracket $12

62058-JL00A Plug $43.68
62059-JL00A Retainer $43.68

My question is, is it likely the bracket/clip below the headlight is really busted? or is it possible the installer didnt slot it back in or align it back in properly? The fact that the dealer wants to order new brackets and clips for everything makes it seem like they just want to be sure they dont remove it and waste their time if it's a part issue...

What do you guys think? I'm not sure if i can bring it back to the original installer as the work was done quite awhile ago....

So when I press the corner it pushes down, I didnt push it with lots of force but if the clip isn't broken could it be not snapped in? Can I push it down forcefully to snap it back into place to fix this issue? Or is it possible the clip is broken due to removal?

KKokko,

I'm having the same problem and it's driving me crazy. Is it the bumper side that is messed up, or the interior clip? The parts listed above are all for the passenger side right? If so, I'm going to order them and have my body shop hook it up again.
