Factory location is with the top of the emblem exactly 1 3/4" below the bottom edge of the spoiler in the dead center of the trunk. Centered below the camera if you have it.
Have you looked closely at the trunk? There is no way to give you an accurate measurement from the emblem to the "side". If you do not have the spoiler, you have to have the chrome thing on the trunk. Just find the center of it for the center of the trunk.

Easy and best way to reinstall the "infiniti" and "G37S" is to buy a new one that comes already in a template for easy install. That way it is also fully returned to stock if that is the reason you are re-badging.

Where can you find the Infiniti and G37s badges? I looked on ebay and didn't see them.
