How do you remove the dealer nameplate affixed to the trunk?

I didn't realize it until after I took delivery of my car but the dealer affixed their dealership nameplate (in block letters) on my trunk. If I would have realized they were going to do this, I would have told them not to.

What is the best way to remove this? They are individual letters. There are 7 to remove. It looks like there is black rubber behind each letter.

heat gun or hair dryer and some dental floss should do the trick. then take off the excess glue if any with goo gone.

while your at it. take off everything else on the trunk too.

Basically just like those of us that debadge. Use dental floss and "saw" back and forth to get the letters off. Then goo-b-gone to get any residue off. Then buff and wax. If you search, I think you may find a DIY with some pictures if memory serves me right.

Can you post pics of the decal.. They will probably easily peel off at this point but if you can just take it back to the dealer and let them do it say when you get your first oil change.

The best way is to tell them ahead of time "no dealer stickers on my car".

Easy.

Just be sure to buff and wax it after, that's equally important

They did the same BS to me, except mine was the sticker kind. Since they put them on right before I picked it up, I just peeled it off when I got home. There will be no free dealer advertisement on my car, bastards. Next is to take the INFINITI letters off the trunk.

Take it back and tell them to remove it. They put it on they should take it off. Especially if its a finance.

You would trust the dealer with that

Do a search for "debading" there is a large thread with pics on how to do this

Yeah you can do it yourself... but if you scratch it or mess it up you pay for it. Dealership wont do that. Its the Car Washing that scatches your paint by the Dealership. LOL!

I'm just saying if that was my car, I'd be like take this ad s#$% off my car now!

LOL! Now if its just debadging in general do it yourself by tutorials here very easy.

Tell the dealer to take it off or pay you for promoting their dealership
