Led + HID Fogs?
I've read through the forums, is it true that if your were to upgrade the fogs to HID's the LED's in the parking lights wouldn't burn out?
Im at a crossroad b/t ordering PIAA extreme white for the fogs and parking lights ($100CDN) OR goin with an LED and HID fogs ($140CDN+Intall)?
The PIAAs would be the easier option in regards to install. I bought the 6000k HID headlights and LED from lou at AMP (great service), below if what the setup looks like on Gamedogs car. I'm just very skeptical about the LED, its a PITA to change if it blows.
What do you guys suggest? Never turn on my fogs? LoL

There are parking lights LEDs you can buy that are rated for automotive use. If you buy others like the ones from superbriteleds, then they run a high risk of burning out, regardless the type of your fogs.
You can always go with filament parking light bulbs too.

I was thinking the PIAA Super White LED, but I think it would look weird with 3 diff color shades, the PIAA xtreme white (fogs) and 6K HID's. Thats why I'm leaning toward to the same PIAA xtreme white for the parking lights, its a wedge bulb with a filament.

So I'm digging this up from the grave.
I never ended up doing anything about the fogs but I've def ruled out upgrading to HIDs. I currently have the same set-up as the pictures above (6k HID-headlights and ijdmtoys white LEDs-parking), the problem is the LEDs dont quite match and are a tad dim, so I'm considering either i) changing the LEDs to 25 SMDs ii) replace fogs with H1 LEDs or iii) PIAA extreme whites for the fogs and parking lights? Any thoughts?

A solution for the contrast issue that some of us have done is we put in an Amber(orange) filament bulb (for parking light in Fog light housing)which gives great contrast.
You could use LED but ask "UCLA Bruin" what LED brand can withstand that heat? Because in general most LED Brands placed there will fail.

i had HID fogs and it never burnt out my LED parking lights.
You prob cant even fit a 25 led bulb there either.

Does anyone know if these H1 LEDs will fit in the housing, they are a 9 SMD LED from ijdmtoys and according to listing they are the right size but I'm a bit skeptical?
