Faulty headlight sensor?

Anyone ever had any issues with the sensor that triggers the auto headlights? i'm guessing its just a light sensor? My headlights have been staying on continuously when I leave my headlights on auto. its not big deal to turn them on and off manually, but still...

I checked the settings for headlights sensitivity and delay and all is normal. I hate having to go in to the dealership.

you have it on auto delay... the default lasts 45 seconds after you turn off your car...

It's on the passenger side on top of the dash. It's easy to see from outside. It's a small round sensor (P. 2-32 of the owner's manual).

I always thought the little white square behind the rear view mirror is the headlight sensor. So what is that for?

Homelink. The light sensors are in the very front of the dash close to the window.

there is a way in the OBD sensors that you can have the headlights come on all the time and other stuff. but thats something i learned and i wasn't supposed to.
