For those who hate the cover and want to run a "naked look". I felt like that at first and decided to come up with something to "dress up" the stock manifold.
I measured the cavity of the manifold where it bolts down and figured this was the ugliest part, got some ideas from the people who did the M370 swap and decided to tackle it.
Took the middle of a plastic drawer and went to town.
To hold it down the best way is velcro/hook&loop tape so it stays in place and it's not a pain to remove.
I ended up cutting the oem cover and went back with it however for those who love the plain manifold look, this will help tremendously. Enjoy.

@Smithers911 Engine cover is sic! How long did it take you to execute that design? Very creative. Fingers crossed that you have since liquid nailed the Infiniti logo down as those fall off at the 8-9 year mark and that would trash your design. I've also seen heat shields for those short ram intakes. Those painted white would really set off the design

I actually got this done around 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. It was supposed to be a different Cali design, but the guy I went to at the auto body shop recommended someone who messed it all up. Since he recommended the guy, he made it right and did this design for free. I don't remember how long it took, but I'm sure it was less than 2 weeks.
I just come up with random things and figure out who can do it. The letters are labels and the ,"C" had its 1st chip the other day.
I'm new to posting, but figured it was worth it.
Thanks for the advice, I'll look into the heat shields and coolant bin @Rochester.
