There's some really clean engine bays in this thread! Mine is a little more out there, not sure if some of you guys will be feeling mine. Here's some cell phone pics, waiting on getting some proper pictures taken to really capture the detail.

Vinyl dip? I really like it on the engine cover, with that high gloss finish and the gloss black surround. But the radiator shroud and back panels are too much, IMO. Overall, that's some super creative work.

And did you actually put a Nismo beer cozy on your PS reservoir?

It's water transfer paint/hydrodip, the guy did a decent job with it all. I had the exact same worry when I had the job done, my initial plan was to make the orange more of an accent colour rather than the primary colour. I may end up painting the battery/brake fluid cover and rad cover gloss back.

I did indeed haha. For some reason when I bought my car there was that waxy substance all over the paint in the engine bay, as well as over the PS reservoir, and it ended up staining the thing beyond the point of being able to clean it. I really want a polished tank but I'm not looking to spend too much money on the engine bay as its hardly ever open.

I had a feeling it wasn't for everyone I love the engine cover but I am still unsure on the rest. However it does look a lot better in person.

I think it's more the color than the look that gets you at first. Hydro dipped parts are cool. I've seen some pretty cool patterns and finishes out here on cars.

thanks Zoster! I have heat shields coming, thinking about doing some flexwrap for the cables and hoses and possibly new bolts. I have debating a strut bar for awhile but I only really want to spend that money if it makes a difference. I'd rather get some transmission bushings like John if it doesnt help at all by handling.

Drive Clean that's cool I like it. Definitely unique. Mine will be more traditional when I get it in a couple weeks. Currently I have Z1 blue hoses, Stillen oil cap, Z1 radiator cap, Gen 3 intakes, but soon I'll have Successful Automotive CF battery cover, brake fluid cover, radiator shroud and engine cover. I hope it looks as tight as yours.

What did you use to get rid of the waxy crap? Mine has it too.
